Samsung has been developing foldable screen technologies for about 10 years, but we’ve only seen the payoff in recent years. Giving important models for the foldable smartphone category with the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip series, Samsung has now started to shift its R&D studies to different areas.
According to the information received, the South Korean company wants to develop its foldable screen technology in a transparent form. The company has also started work on this. Preparing the first drawings and documents on how the phone will be, Samsung seems to want the screen part of the phone to be transparent in the next models.
Of course, the published drawings are a bit abstract for now. In other words, there is currently no clear information that these drawings and ideas will come to life. But even the company’s work in this direction is exciting. On the other hand, it should be said that Samsung completely gave up developing transparent OLED panels in 2016 due to low demand in the past. But things have changed in the last few years and it looks like he wants to get back to this technology.
