Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao says crypto adoption will expand further this year as governments step up to regulate crypto.
CZ, CEO of Binance, the world’s largest crypto asset trading platform, talked about crypto asset regulations in a new interview. According to him, crypto adoption could increase this year as more and more regulators focus on this area:
“I think in 2022 we will see regulators pull into this sector. I think that’s going to be one of the most basic things we’re going to see. Many countries like the USA have issued executive orders, they want to make [their] stablecoins.
Dubai has issued a regulatory framework and granted a number of licenses to major players. This is important. It is also licensed in Bahrain [and] elsewhere.
We’ve seen them and now [we’re seeing them] in France, Portugal, Sweden and Gibraltar – all very positive towards crypto. So I think this will really help adoption.”
CZ also touched upon innovations in the industry such as the metaverse and said that these will shape the way crypto goes forward.
