Kazakhstan wants Bitcoin miners to pay taxes based on the price of Bitcoin.
Kazakhstan, which has become one of the attractive countries for Bitcoin miners after the pressures of China, now wants to collect the Bitcoin tax in relation to the Bitcoin price.
On April 14, Minister of National Economy Alibek Kuantyrov said that they are working on a tax plan where tax payments will be demanded based on the value of the assets. Regarding the plan, which is thought to have a negative impact on the industry in the country, Kuantyrov made the following statement:
“We are considering increasing the tax burden for miners, we are currently also considering tying the tax rate for miners to the value of the cryptocurrency. If the cryptocurrency grows, it will be good for the budget.”
