Qualcomm and Stellantis step into artificial intelligence technology!

Qualcomm also introduced Snapdragon Digital Chasis along with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 mobile chipset at the end of 2021. Snapdragon Digital Chassis is a cloud-based platform designed for connectivity, telematics, digital cockpit and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

This new technology enables 5G sensors, cloud systems, autonomous driving, personalized interfaces and onboard diagnostics. Snapdragon Cockpit Platforms will manage the in-vehicle communication and infotainment systems for the STLA SmartCockpit. This system will also add to STLA Brain’s capabilities to increase convenience and security.

Stellantis plans to have STLA Brain with enhanced artificial intelligence capabilities through Snapdragon technology ready in 2024. The STLA Smart Cockpit system works with Qualcomm as well as Amazon and Foxconn.

Unlike Qualcomm, Stellantis, it also has partnerships with GM, Volvo, Renault and Honda. Volvo and Polestar will use Snapdragon Cockpit chips and an operating system developed by Google from this year. Honda also plans to use Qualcomm’s digital cockpit chips from 2023.
