vivo has announced its first foldable smartphone, the X Fold. The X Fold takes a similar approach to Samgung’s Galaxy Z Fold lineup and its competitors. X Fold, which has a large 8.03-inch folding screen when opened for tablet-style use and a 6.53-inch screen for traditional smartphone use when closed, is currently on sale in China.
X Fold uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 as a processor. The phone, which has 12 GB and 256 GB / 512 GB storage, has a 4-camera setup on the back. In these cameras, which are 50 MP, 8 MP, 12 MP and 48 MP, vivo, which also received Zeiss support, used a 16 MP front camera on the front.
vivo claims that it makes the X Fold more durable than Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series. According to the information, the phone is protected against 300,000 unlocks. This figure was 200 thousand in Samsung’s series. Thus, it is aimed that users can use the phone for many years. X Fold, which has a solid hinge system, can be folded completely flat and does not have any curves in between. The main screen of the phone, which can be opened between 60 and 120 degrees angles, consists of an LTPO AMOLED panel, while the screen has a refresh rate of 120 Hz. While the cover screen is 6.53 inches in size, as we said, this screen also consists of an AMOLED panel.
X Fold is currently on sale in China with price tags of approximately $1413 and $1570 depending on capacity options. Will it come to our country, we will wait and see.
