Samsung launched the Expert RAW application in November, which allows Galaxy S21 Ultra users to edit all settings in detail, such as the ISO value of the photos they take with the camera.
While the app initially only supported the S21 Ultra, the company later brought it to Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold 2 models. A very useful update has been released for RAW, in other words Expert RAW, which allows taking raw photos without compression.
Samsung improves low light performance with Expert RAW
Recently, 1.0.01 version of Expert RAW application was released on Samsung’s Galaxy Store app store. With this update, it was noted that the clarity of the photos taken in low light conditions with Expert RAW has been increased. Regardless of the model, the new version can be installed on all phones that support the application.
Expert RAW application unfortunately does not support every Samsung model. According to the shared information, the phone should use the lowest Eynos 990 or Snapdragon 865 chipset. In addition, it should also have a telephoto lens that supports Bayer RAW, which can zoom 2x and above with a minimum of 8 GB of RAM.
Expert RAW’s most important features include multi-frame HDR, low-light performance developed by combining data from multiple sensors, and the ability to record photos in RAW format with a telephoto camera; It can save as lossless JPEG and 16-bit DNG RAW with Adobe Lightroom.
