Ryzen Threadripper processors are in trouble
Ryzen Threadripper workstations, which cost up to 50 thousand dollars per system, have started to have problems recently. Major workstation suppliers suffer from unfulfilled orders and are in danger of losing customers.
AMD Adrenaline software under review
Maingear, Velocity Micro, Companies like Puget Systems complain about not being able to find a Ryzen Threadripper 3990X processor. Threadripper 3960X and 3970X have enough in stock for now. Since the pro versions are relatively expensive, there is more interest in standard machines.
AMD has reportedly been warning customers of the distress since earlier in the year. Stock shortages create anxiety for companies that can make 10-15 orders at once. On the other hand, the fact that Lenovo always has first access to its flagship processors makes the competition even more angry at the lower levels. Although some companies are in high demand for AMD, Intel Xeon processors have started to come to the fore. This is not good news for AMD.
