Bitcoin mining company Greenidge has won a lawsuit filed against it regarding the shutdown.
The New York Supreme Court has ruled that Bitcoin mining company Greenidge Generation Holdings (GREE) “will not affect the air or water of Seneca Lake.” The lawsuit was filed by the Sierra Club and the Seneca Lake Guardian over environmental concerns.
Greenidge Generation President Dale Irwin also made the following statements on the subject:
“Some opponents have lost all five legal actions regarding the plant and we have long received all the necessary approvals to start this project. We have properly researched and received with the approval of the Planning Board some time ago.”
