According to the news of The Elec, BOE, which is the biggest alternative to Samsung and LG in screen supply to Apple, will establish an 8.6th generation OLED display panel production line at the B16 factory in Sichuan, China. This new production line is expected to open towards the end of 2024.

It is stated that LG Display plans to use 6th generation OLED production lines for iPad models, while it is claimed that 8.5th generation production lines will be preferred on the OLED Macbook side. .
