American coffee shop chain Starbucks has announced that it plans to enter the NFT sector by the end of the year.
Howard Schultz, CEO of Starbucks, announced the company’s NFT plans at a forum on Monday, stating that they intend to do so before the end of this year.
Schultz stated that they are in a good position to enter the NFT field, saying;
“Looking at companies, brands, celebrities, and influencers trying to build a digital NFT platform and business, I don’t see anyone owning a treasure trove of Starbucks’ assets, from collectibles to the company’s entire legacy.”
New York-based writer and editor Jordan Zakarin shared the following on the subject;
“Multi-billionaire Howard Schultz announced that Starbucks will enter the NFT business later this year.”
Starbucks has confirmed its NFT plans in a blog post, announcing that it is among the company’s plans.
