The famous actor, who played the role of Jim Hopper in the series, explained how he struggled with alcohol addiction at a young age in an interview with The Guardian recently.
Stating that he was addicted to alcohol in his 20s, Harbor stated that he received treatment for this, but his pets helped the most in getting rid of addiction. The famous actress explained in her statement that she was afraid of getting drunk because she was worried about how to take care of her cat, and she avoided alcohol.

The character of Jim Hopper in Stranger Things is a cop who struggles with alcohol addiction just like Harbor experiences in real life. Although Hopper is dealing with such a bad addiction, he is a character who never hesitates to help those in the town who need him. Having more or less the same difficulties as Hopper’s character, Harbor talked about his struggle against alcohol addiction in his 20s.
David Harbor, who will appear in Black Widow with Scarlett Johansson in the upcoming period, made the following statements in an interview he gave to The Guardian; “I was on the verge of killing myself because of my alcohol addiction, but the only thing holding me back was my cat. I thought who would take care of him if I died. It was also a terrifying thought that my cat might go undetected for days after I died in my apartment.”
