After weeks of waiting, the 19 millionth Bitcoin was issued earlier today.

This is the first million milestone to be passed since October 2019. Thus, more than 90% of all Bitcoins were mined.

When Will The Last Bitcoin Be Issued?

It is quite difficult to predict when the 21 millionth Bitcoin will be issued due to some different variances.

The process of mining Bitcoins is slowing down as Bitcoin rewards received by miners are halved every four years.

The maximum Bitcoin supply is capped at 21 million tokens, which is among the most important features of the asset. By comparison, gold has an infinite supply.

It is not known exactly when the last Bitcoin will be mined, as block production times vary according to mining difficulty. Rough estimates point to the year 2140.

Bitcoin is trading at $46,369 on the Binance exchange at the time of writing.
