The company continues to take new measures to protect its users from these attacks. The published emergency security update is of great importance for you to protect your personal data from these attacks if you are using Chrome.
Users must make this update to be protected from these attacks, which are carried out by exploiting a single vulnerability in Chrome. Following the release of the CVE-2022-1096 emergency update to version 99.0.4844.84, the company announced that they were aware of the severity of these attacks. If you are using Chrome or not, if it is installed on your computer, you should do this update as soon as possible.
So how do we do the update?
First of all, after opening Google Chrome, go to Settings by clicking the three dots on the top right of your screen and click ‘About Chrome’ at the bottom left of the screen. (For some versions of Chrome, the About Chrome menu may appear under ‘Help’). If the update is ready, your browser will automatically start downloading after clicking this option. After installing the update, you need to close and open your browser by clicking the ‘Restart’ option, otherwise the update cannot be activated.
