Google acquires Raxium, which develops MicroLED displays for augmented reality devices

Google acquired Raxium, which develops MicroLED displays for use in augmented and virtual reality devices. Financial details of the deal have not yet been disclosed, but Raxium’s market value is estimated at around $1 billion.

Google has big goals in AR and VR segment. The search giant bought augmented reality glasses manufacturer North in 2020 to implement these plans. With its latest move, the company has strengthened its hand in this field by incorporating Raxium.
