Bored Ape Yacht Club made the announcement on its official Twitter account. In the statement, it was stated that ApeCoin will empower the community to create blockchain games and services, host events, and create digital and physical products.

The collection will also gift the ApeCoin DAO 1:1 NFT featuring a blue version of the BAYC logo . ApeCoin DAO will decide how this NFT should be used.
It was stated that 62% of ApeCoin’s total supply will be offered to the community.
Additionally, it was noted that ApeCoin will be public and will soon be listed on major cryptocurrency exchanges.
