The UK-based automaker announced today that it plans to establish a marketplace for the sales of NFTs, and that NFT owners will also have access to exclusive experiences.
The company will work with InfiniteWorld, a metaverse platform that helps brands create digital assets, improve fan engagement and monetize.
InfiniteWorld announced plans to go public in December through a $700 million merger with special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) Aries I Acquisition Corp. The newly formed company will be traded on the Nasdaq under the code “JPG”.
McLaren Automotive is part of the same brand as McLaren Racing, the Formula 1 racing team that has made its way into the digital asset industry. The team announced plans to build an NFT platform on the Tezos blockchain in June.
