Dan Schulman, CEO of payments giant PayPal, said that the crypto industry will redefine the world of finance.
Schulman maintained his positive stance on the crypto industry in an interview with CTech. The CEO thinks that the intersection between digital assets, CBDCs, stablecoins and digital wallets will redefine much of the future financial world:
“The intersection between CBDC, stablecoins, digital wallets and advanced payment use through cryptocurrencies is just Not only is it fascinating, but it will redefine much of the financial world going forward.”
Schulman states that, contrary to the general trend in the crypto industry, he finds price movements insignificant. To him, the least interesting part about these cryptoassets is:
“I am very excited about what crypto and distributed ledger technology can do to the financial system going forward. I think the first thing everyone thinks about crypto is buying and selling it and what the price of Bitcoin will be tomorrow, that’s the least interesting part to me about digital currencies.”
