Instagram announced that it has added a new feature to the platform that allows broadcasters to add moderators during live broadcasts. Moderators will be able to report comments on live broadcasts, remove certain viewers, and turn off comments.

Any user can be appointed as a moderator

In late 2016, Instagram launched the live broadcast feature on the platform. Broadcasters had to control the broadcast while performing the live broadcast, which created difficulties.

The social media platform shared that it is now allowed to add moderators to the live broadcast, albeit with a little delay. Creators will be able to appoint a moderator during their live stream by tapping the three dots in the comment bar. After tapping on the three dots, a list of suggested accounts will be shown to the publisher, and publishers will be able to assign an account from this list if they wish, by searching for an account.
