Fiat introduced the electric version of its iconic model, the 500, in 2020. Fiat’s high-performance model subsidiary, Abarth, announced the launch date of the 500 electric model. The new model will be presented to users with striking differences compared to the standard version.
Launched in 2018, the Abarth 124 GT model soon became one of the company’s most popular models. It is stated that Abarth’s electric vehicle move will revitalize the company.

Abarth CEO Olivier François said, “A year and a half ago, I said making an Abarth version of the electric 500 shouldn’t be this hard. I like the comfort and performance of electric vehicles. That’s why we started working on the electric Abarth version of the Fiat 500 model. We want to offer car enthusiasts a true Abarth experience. Therefore, we will change the details such as transmission, brakes and design in the new model.” said.
Stating that the vehicle is in the final test phase before official approval, François stated that a great model awaits car enthusiasts. François also underlined that they will consider the suggestions of the Abarth fan base while developing future models.
The 0-100 km/h acceleration time of the Electric 500 model is known as 9 seconds. The model, which has a maximum speed of 150 km / h, has a range of 320 km. It is estimated that the 0-100 km / h acceleration time of the Abarth version will fall under 7 seconds. It is also among the estimates that the new model will have a maximum speed of over 200 km / h. The electric version of the Abarth 500 will meet with car enthusiasts next year.
