CryptoPunks’ trading volume in the last 24 hours reached $18.8 million, a dramatic increase compared to previous daily trading volumes. This rise came after it was revealed that Yuga Labs acquired CryptoPunks’ intellectual property from Larva labs for an undisclosed amount, as we reported yesterday.
One of the oldest NFT collections, CryptoPunks stands out as one of the long-desired NFTs by many enthusiasts in the market. However, Larva Labs, the creator of the collection, was criticized for not granting exclusive rights. Yuga Labs is the creator of the Bored Apes collection and is credited with giving their owners exclusive rights to their NFTs. The firm also announced that CryptoPunks holders will also enjoy this level of privilege, and this has rekindled interest in the collection.
According to data from CryptoSlam, CryptoPunks trading volume has increased by over 1,000% in the last 24 hours compared to the previous day. The news also helped increase the floor price for CryptoPunks, which is currently 75 ETH (around $195,000).
Aside from its previous project, new acquisitions, BAYC has made sales of around $8 million in the last 24 hours, while Mutant Apes’s is around $5 million. The base price of both NFT collections rose 12% to 82 ETH and 9% to 18.5 ETH, respectively.
