, Apple is now working on the MacBook Air with the M2 chip and the 13-inch MacBook Pro. So much so that, according to information from industry sources, the technology giant from Cupertino will announce new MacBook models with M2 chip before the end of this year.

A new report by 9to5mac, which will be the successor to the M1
, states that Apple will launch the MacBook Air with the M2 chip and the 13-inch MacBook Pro later this year. The chip, codenamed “Staten” and expected to be based on the A15 Bionic chip, is said to come with an 8-core CPU and 10-core GPU clustering.
The M2 chip, which is expected to be the successor of the entry-level M1 chip, is not expected to be as performant as the M1 Pro and M1 Max. MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 13-inch models with M2 chips are likely to be announced towards the end of the year.
