The world’s largest cinema chain AMC Theaters has finally started accepting Shiba Inu (SHIB) and Dogecoin (DOGE) payments after a long wait.
The CEO of the company, Adam Aron, made the announcement via his Twitter account.
AMC’s meme token addition came sooner than expected. Previously, the date of 19 March 2022 was spoken.
AMC previously polled on Twitter on whether to add support for Dogecoin and Shiba Inu. After the positive reactions, Aron stated that the company started working to enable payment with these two cryptos.
AMC started to accept payments with some cryptocurrencies, especially Bitcoin and Ethereum, in November.
Aron also came up with the idea of launching AMC’s own cryptocurrency in November, but so far there has been no development on this issue.
