Software giant Microsoft announced in early February that they would begin testing experimental features that Windows 11 testers could evaluate but may never be generally available. The company seems to have taken the first step in this regard.

Rafael Twitter user Rivera noticed that a tabbed interface was being tested in File Explorer. Microsoft originally offered such a feature in the early versions of Windows 95, but later shelved it. But it may soon return to the next-gen operating system.
Good chance of general availability
With the addition of tabs to File Explorer, users will be able to open multiple folders in a single window. Although the company has not yet made a clear decision on this issue, it is stated that it is likely to be made available to the general public as it is a highly requested feature.
