Samsung Promises 5 Years of Security Updates for Some Enterprise Edition Galaxy Phones

Announcing earlier this year that it will provide 4-year security updates for its Galaxy smartphones, Samsung made another announcement regarding security updates for some of its corporate Galaxy smartphone series.

Samsung will offer 5 years of security updates for some enterprise edition Galaxy smartphones. These enterprise edition devices will be geared towards businesses that offer business-ready technology, services, extended device protection and security with Knox Suite. The 5-year security update will be available for the following enterprise devices:

  • Galaxy S21 5G
  • Galaxy S21+ 5G
  • Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G
  • Galaxy XCovers5
  • Galaxy S20
  • Galaxy S20+
  • Galaxy S20 Ultra
  • Galaxy Notre 20
  • Galaxy Note 20 Ultra
  • Galaxy Tab Active 3

Samsung is expected to offer 5-year security updates to some of its Galaxy smartphones in the future.
