“Digital Resilience: How Ukraine Leverages Technology to Fight for Freedom,” Bornyakov said that $60 million was transferred to the main fund managed by the Ukrainian crypto exchange Kuna, with the remaining funds being smaller. He said it was transferred to the funds.

When asked whether Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has an opinion on the role of crypto in the war, Bornyakov said that while Zelensky did not tell him anything about the crypto fund, he shares his vision for the use of crypto. Saying that this was an economic breakthrough, Bornyakov emphasized that they received full support from Zelensky.

Bornyakov stated that they had no communication with the US authorities regarding the impact of crypto on the war.

The deputy minister also reiterated his demand in an interview last week that crypto companies cut services to Russian users as part of an effort to cut Russia off from the global financial system.

Kuna founder Michael Chobanian reported that the funds sent to them were spent on fuel, food and non-lethal equipment, including bulletproof vests for soldiers.
