Top-earning apps announced TikTok hit the top

With the arrival of July, the first six months of 2021 have come to an end. Sensor Tower, which closely follows the App Store and Google Play, determined the most successful applications of the year. Accordingly, the mobile application market has reached 64.9 billion dollars worldwide. This amount also revealed the impact of the pandemic on consumers. When we look at the expenditures, we see that Apple is still ahead with the App Store. The platform, which brought application developers $ 34 billion in 2020, increased it to $ 41.5 billion in 2021. Play Store, which experienced a similar growth, made $23.4 billion in revenues from $18 billion. TikTok was the company that received the most money from both platforms.

Both stores had an estimated 72.5 billion downloads worldwide. Consumers showed 74 percent more interest in TikTok in the first half of the year compared to the previous year. YouTube was the second highest grossing app with $564 million. The star of the pandemic, Tinder, ranked 3rd with an estimated revenue of about $520 million, followed by Picoma and Disney+. Tencent Video, Google One, IQYI, Line Manga and Twitch followed soon after.
