Even people who don’t have much connection or interest in technology can find themselves in the iPhone vs Android debate from time to time. Those who claim that the iPhone is easier to use and its ecosystem is more advanced often come across those who say that Android offers much more options.
But have you ever thought which one is more popular in which country? A report by StatCounter revealed the countries where iPhones are more popular than Android. Among these countries, the USA, England, Canada, Australia and New Zealand are leading. It is followed by Japan, the Baltic countries, France and Saudi Arabia.
One country that finds its place on the list is particularly striking: Russia. How Apple’s halting sales in the country after the invasion of Ukraine will change the balance is currently unknown.
On a global scale, iOS’s market share is 28.7% and Android’s market share is 70.97%. In the US, 57.8% of mobile devices run iOS and 41.91% run Android. In the UK, iOS currently shows at 53.6% and Android at 45.89%.
