Technology giant Samsung has applied for a patent for a new model after dominating the foldable phone market. In this patent, the devices will fold sideways, unlike previous models. The World Intellectual Property Office published the patent for the phone with the article titled “Electronic device with flexible screen”.
In the patent documents, as in the name of the article, there is information that the phone has a flexible screen. In this way, the back screen of the device can be included in the front. When the device is opened, it will take the P shape as seen in the image. In the patent information, it is stated that the phone screen is designed with ultra-thin glass as in the Galaxy Z series. There is also information that there is a vertical camera lens and flash next to the screen. But there is no information about the sensors. In addition, a centrally placed selfie camera appears in the images in the patent, as in the newly introduced S22 model by the brand.
Samsung is currently uncertain when the foldable phone will be produced or sold. However, when it is released, it is expected to attract attention like the previous models of the previous series.
