BMW celebrated the 50th anniversary of the M brand with the facelift M8 Competition. Introducing its new model, the company presented the 2023 BMW M8 Competition, which stands out with its features, to automotive enthusiasts.

Founded in May 1972 for the racing program, BMW M began to develop BMW’s high-performance models over time. BMW M, which has competitors such as Mercedes AMG and Audi RS, took the competition to the next level this year.

The launch color of the model introduced at the Amelia Concours d’Elegance event was chosen as Daytona Beach Blue. The first noticeable difference in the new model is the new M badge for the company’s 50th birthday. Customers purchasing BMW vehicles with the M Sport equipment package from March 2022 will receive a logo inspired by the original BMW Motorsport emblem.

2023 BMW M8 Competition, M3 and M4 models with carbon fiber seats. However, the new model features carbon fiber reinforced plastic parts and illuminated M8 logos. There are minor changes in the steering wheel compared to the old model.

The model, which comes out with a large 12.3-inch LCD digital display, draws attention with its sporty appearance. Skyscraper grey, metallic, Brooklyn grey, metallic, Isle of Man green, metallic and BMW Tanzanite blue, metallic. New color options were offered to customers.

2023 BMW M8 Competition has the same engine characteristics as the previous model. Powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, the model is offered to users with xDrive technology. The vehicle is equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission, along with an engine that can produce 617 horsepower and 759nm of torque. While the 0-100 km/h acceleration time of the Coupe and Gran Coupe models is 3.2 seconds, this value is specified as 3.3 seconds in the Convertible model.
