Australian-based energy company 1st Energy will accept Shiba Inu (SHIB) payments via BitPay.
BitPay, along with Shiba Inu, also provides payments support for Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Wrapped Bitcoin and five stablecoins.
Founded in 2014, 1st Energy serves three separate settlements. The company became the first energy retailer in the country to accept crypto. This means that company customers can pay their bills with any crypto asset offered through BitPay.
BitPay, founded in 2011, is the world’s largest crypto payment service provider. The company announced the Shiba Inu integration in December 2021, allowing its customers to pay with SHIB.
