The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Tecno, which started domestic production in our country, continues its investments. The RGBW camera sensor, developed jointly with Samsung, will find its place in the company’s new generation smartphones.
Tecno RGBW sensor introduced
The RGBW sensor, which became official at MWC 22, was developed in partnership with Samsung. The extra white pixel added to the RGB standard array increases the light sensitivity of the sensor, increasing its performance especially in low light conditions and contributing to color accuracy. 1.7 times better sensitivity is achieved than the green color filter in standard RGB sensors.
Tecno gears up
RGBW color filter integrated into 64MP resolution sensor will be done. This will increase the sensitivity of the CMOS sensor. The technology, which is a mixture of glass and plastic, increases the light inputs by 30 percent. The new RGBW sensor, which will take advantage of the low-light performance of Tecno Camon flagships, is expected to be on the market within the year.
