Some people can even like someone they don’t know yet just because they’re beautiful. A software in our heads is putting a secret pressure on us to find certain body shapes sexier.

So why do we find certain body shapes more beautiful and attractive? What is the force behind the reason that drives us to this? Here is the answer of science:

The University of Texas has two studies on the attractiveness of women’s curvaceous hips.

Researchers asked 100 men to rate the women according to their attractiveness levels by showing the pictures of women with different waist curve angles to 100 men.

Women with a 45-degree waist curve were found to be more attractive.

The reason for this is that the spinal cord structure in women with a 45-degree waist bend can better balance the weight of pregnancy on the hips.

Our female ancestors with this feature were able to gather comfortably even during pregnancy and the possibility of injury to their spinal cords was reduced. Mothers with this feature, which provided a safer environment for the fetus, were more preferred by men. At the same time, these women were more advantageous in multiple pregnancies.

A second scientific study is testing whether the reason men choose women with this angle is because they reflect larger hips or whether it’s because of the angle in the spine.

200 men were shown photos of women with different hip sizes, but men found women with a 45-degree waist curve more attractive than hip size.

According to these scientific studies, the perception of beauty is formed after thousands of years due to evolutionary pressure and selection. Evolution is the basis of why we find the waist, hips, breasts, face and many other aspects attractive. This is how we experience the expression of traits that have been ingrained into our genes over thousands of years.
