When a scientist is mentioned, Albert Einstein comes to mind as the first name for many of us. Einstein, who was so valuable that his brain was stolen after he died, really changed the world of science and has been one of the basic building blocks for us to come today. Do you know that Einstein, who was born Jewish in Nazi Germany and immigrated to the USA in 1933, had a marriage contract that might erase your admiration for him when you read it?
Einstein married Mileva Marić, the daughter of a Serbian family who was a citizen of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, in 1903. From this marriage, Einstein had two sons, Hans Albert and Eduard. The genius scientist, who had a great brain to understand the universe, was not very successful in this relationship.
Albert Einstein’s marriage to Mileva was about to end
Written by a writer named Laurent Şıkik, the words of the famous scientist’s son Eduard Einstein In the book he bought, we see that Albert Einstein did not treat Marić very well. According to his son Eduard, Albert Einstein left in August 1914, leaving his wife and children on a platform in Berlin. After that, World War I was declared. Albert, who came to the point of ending his marriage in 1914, told his wife Mileva that he could continue the relationship for the sake of the children, but that he had to sign the contract he had prepared. Mileva also signed this contract. However, the agreement was so strict that their marriage would not last long.
Mileva broke up with Einstein shortly after this contract
Albert Einstein started a relationship with his cousin Elsa Löwenthal before this contract. After this incident, Einstein broke his relationship with Mileva, and could not stand the harsh conditions of the contract and divorced Mileva in 1919, who moved to Zurich with her children.

Einstein continued to support his children after separation.
Einstein signed the commitment made by a lawyer after the separation. According to this agreement, he would send 5600 Reichsmarks annually to Mileva. This money was slightly less than half of Einstein’s salary. Apart from that, the money for Einstein’s forthcoming Nobel Prize was transferred to an account for the care of his sons. Mileva would be able to receive interest on the money in this account, but would not touch the principal.
Today we have conveyed to you Albert Einstein’s marriage contract with extremely heavy and deterrent clauses. This contract, which allows us to see that the private life of this man, who has caused a storm in the scientific world, will remain in the dusty pages of history.
