Of course, the people caught in the rush of buying studios between Microsoft and Sony, which we can call the ‘war to add territory to their borders’, are of course actors. Who always thinks of the players? Of course, Valve’s founder, Gabe Newell, whom we often refer to as ‘Gaben’. Newell has now made an announcement that will delight the players.

In a recent interview with the PC Gamer site, Gabe Newell gave good news about the Game Pass system, which is liked by the players and belongs to Microsoft. According to Gabe Newell, Valve is ready to integrate Game Pass into Steam, just like EA Play.

“Their customers want it very much, we are happy to do it”

Gabe Newell used the following statements in his interview: “We currently have a subscription system. I don’t think we need to do it, but we can integrate it. It’s also clear that customers using Microsoft’s Game Pass system want it. We’re happy to work with Microsoft to bring Game Pass to Steam.”

In his statement, Gaben points out that even if Game Pass will come to Steam, it will not be coming soon, but Valve and Microsoft are talking about this issue: “We talked a lot with people there about this issue. If your customers want it, you have to find ways how to make it happen. We are at this point.”

Whether the Game Pass system for PC will come to Steam will remain a mystery until an official announcement from both companies is made, but it is a step that Microsoft should definitely take. Likewise, Electronic Arts had integrated the EA Play subscription system into Steam in 2020, and EA’s revenues had doubled.

Although it is not known at the moment whether the Game Pass-Steam integration will take place, Microsoft has announced that it is interested in the presence of Steam in the Windows 11 store. Microsoft also added that Valve would be welcome there.
