Hazelight, the developer of It Takes Two, which has received great acclaim since its release, recently announced that it has started negotiations on adapting the game to a series and movie. The game, in which Cody and May rush from adventure to adventure and you and your friend direct these adventures, was one of the most purchased games on Steam for a long time.
Prepared annually by the Interactive Arts and Science Academy, the DICE Awards found their new owners in the gaming industry this year in Las Vegas. The success of It Takes Two, which made a good debut last year, was also crowned with two awards by DICE.
It Takes Two is game of the year
With a 25-year history, DICE Awards are of great importance in the video game industry. It Takes Two was this year’s winner of the Game of the Year award, which was held by Untitled Goose Game, God of War, and Overwatch in the past years. Developed by Hazelight, It Takes Two was not only named Game of the Year, but also awarded for Outstanding Achievement in Game Design.
Josef Fares, the founder of Hazelight, the developer company of It Takes Two, and also the writer and director of the game, said in a tweet, “This is incredible, thank you very much.” The game, which has sold more than 5 million copies since its release and has won many major awards such as the game of the year at The Game Awards, seems to continue to make its developers happy.
The awards given by DICE also revealed the best video games of the year in their field. While Forza Horizon 5, the videos of which we can only watch on our screens, was chosen as the best racing game of the year; Resident Evil Village, on the other hand, which we shivered while watching, won the award for outstanding achievement in character design.
