Intel wants to make laptops thinner and lighter

Currently, the P-series consists of top-of-the-line processors with a high-end P-core and eight V-cores. There are also i5 and i7 versions with eight V-cores and four P-cores. The U series, on the other hand, focuses on V cores instead of P cores. By the way, P cores are called Performance, and V cores are called Efficiency.

Intel has undergone a complete rethink under CEO Pat Gelsinger. Therefore, there was a fuss within the company. This has created space for most companies such as TSMC, AMD, Nvidia, Apple to gain market share and ground.

Apple, especially when it comes to processor technology in recent years, continues to work on the A series chipsets in the iPhone and iPad. M-series processors in laptops, desktops and iPads had been a major breakthrough, offering large amounts of processing power with very little power draw.

Still, Intel did not stay out of the race. The company has plans to move towards semiconductor manufacturing and laptop processors.
