Opera has announced that Opera for Android (OfA) is the first mobile browser with an Ethereum Layer 2 Wallet. The company provides this service developed together with DeversiFi with the support of StarkWare. OfA users will now be able to make Ethereum Layer 2 transactions directly from within the browser and pay “ultra-low commissions”. In addition, it is mentioned that all transactions will be performed 100 times faster.
Opera will be able to offer “cheap and instant” transactions in the OfA browser wallet, thanks to integration with the Ethereum Layer 2 exchange DeversiFi, powered by Starkware’s Layer 2 scaling solution. Thanks to this integration, Opera users will be able to interact seamlessly with DeFi through a user-friendly interface, and users who stay away from the market especially due to high transaction costs in Ethereum will be provided.
Users can start trading with Layer 2 by installing the beta version of Opera for Android and activating the L2 card from the crypto wallet feature in the settings. It is stated that Layer 2 solutions will soon be integrated into Opera’s Web3 initiative, the Opera Crypto Browser Project browser.
