Sharing your best moments on PlayStation 5 gets easier starting today. Sony has rolled out a new feature for certain regions at the moment. For now, the option has reached users across North America, South America, and Japan. At this point, the feature has moved to a PlayStation mobile app that automatically stores your last PS5 footage, making it more convenient to share or store off-console.
You need to make sure your PlayStation app is updated to see if the feature is available for you. First, select the game library tab at the bottom of the screen. Select the Games tab and the Captures icon next to it and then agree to activate the feature. In addition, Sony announced that the feature will expand to other countries in the coming months.
Images deleted from PlayStation 5 remain in the mobile app
From now on, screenshots you take with the Create menu or button and non-4K videos less than three minutes are automatically saved on the mobile app for 14 days. Meanwhile, you need to set your console to ‘Rest Mode’ and stay connected to the internet.
Even if you delete your images from your console, you can still access them through the application. So keep this in mind when deleting photos you think you’ve taken too much. So, you don’t need to panic.
