Spanish professional football club Barcelona has rejected crypto companies’ shirt sponsorship deals, according to Marca’s report.
The Catalan club board described the crypto industry as “speculative and risky”:
Barcelona has decided to sign a deal with music streaming platform Spotify, despite being offered more money from crypto companies. The three-year deal will be worth $320 million, according to Reuters.
Despite these rhetoric about the crypto industry, Barcelona signed a global partnership agreement with Chiliz in 2020.
British giant Manchester United has also recently signed a sponsorship agreement with Tezos.
