Sony Xperia 5 IV is expected to be introduced alongside the Xperia 1 IV. We expect both phones to be announced fairly soon.
Claims and leaks about the Sony Xperia 5 IV, which is expected to be a smaller alternative to the flagship Xperia 1 IV, continue to come. The specs have surfaced via a regular source of leaks on Chinese social media platform Weibo.
According to the leak, the new phone will feature a 6.1-inch display, three 12MP rear cameras (including a main, ultra-wide and 3x optical zoom telephoto) and a glass body. These features are quite similar to the Xperia 1 III.
Some changes are presented in detail. It seems that this phone will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, the new powerful processor of 2022. It will also have a “slightly higher” battery capacity of 4500 mAh.
Previous generation Sony phones were introduced in the first months of the year, but it took months before they went on sale. So we may soon see if these specs are right, but it may take some time before we test the new phone.
