Sony, one of the successful players of the console world, is preparing to launch the PlayStation VR2 virtual reality glasses in order to add “reality” to the PlayStation 5, which it put on sale in 2020. The design of the glasses, which appeared at CES 2022 in the past months and was announced to come with a special game, was recently officially shown. Here are the details…
PlayStation VR2 design revealed
Announcing the new generation virtual reality glasses PlayStation VR2 at the launch held within the scope of CES 2022 in January, Sony shared the design of the glasses in question a while ago. As it will be remembered, the PS VR2 Sense controller appeared at the event last month.
PlayStation VR2 takes its design lines from the PlayStation 5 console. The virtual reality glasses, which appear in front of the users in white, connects with the console via a cable. On the other hand, it is worth noting that the glasses, which contain two PS VR2 Sense controllers, which we encountered at the event last month, come with four front cameras for inside-out tracking.
According to the announcement made by Sony, the virtual reality glasses will be released with 4K resolution support and will also have HDR support. PSVR 2, which will be released for PS5, will also feature a greatly expanded (110-degree) field of view compared to the previous generation, eye tracking system, glasses feedback, 3D Audio and the innovative PS VR2 Sense controller. With these new features, you won’t have to move your head to look at an area in your field of view.
In addition, Sony announced the new game of the Horizon series exclusively for the virtual reality platform. Horizon: Call of the Mountain is expected to be one of the first party games to be released at the same time as PS VR2.
