Illinois and Georgia lawmakers are calling for tax breaks for crypto mining companies.
The states of Illinois and Georgia require companies that mine Bitcoin to receive tax breaks, according to the published legislation.
According to a bill introduced in Georgia, tax exemption has been proposed for the use of electricity in crypto mining activities. A tax incentive is also on the agenda in Illinois to attract crypto mining activities to the state.
Following the ban on crypto mining in China, the US has become the market leader in crypto mining.
Previously, the states of Texas and Kentucky had applied various tax breaks to attract miners. Georgia and Illinois were also the last states to consider the idea of tax incentives.
