One of the first names that come to mind when crypto mining is mentioned, Nvidia’s chip sales developed for mining are decreasing. To remind you, Nvidia introduced the Cryptocurrency Mining Processors (CMPs), which it developed specifically for crypto mining.
According to the data obtained; In the second quarter of 2021, $266 million was generated from CMP sales. Nvidia said that revenue fell to $24 million in the fourth fiscal quarter. In the third quarter, this amount was 105 million dollars. In other words, this shows a 77 percent decrease.
Also, the company states that while its regular GPUs can mine cryptocurrency, it has limited visibility into how much mining affects overall GPU demand.
