It is not yet known why Micron terminated the brand, which stated in the press release that it would “focus on developing DDR5 client and server products and expand Crucial’s memory and storage product portfolio”. . However, many sources speculate that such a decision was made because the company was lagging behind Crucial’s SK-Hynix or Samsung’s DDR5 chips.
As it is known, only DDR5- Crucial Ballistix, which has 4800 memory options, fell behind its rivals reaching DDR5-6000 speeds.
