Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 will launch in Q2 of this year
Last year, Xiaomi launched Mi MIX Fold, the brand’s first foldable smartphone. Now, the company is preparing to introduce the new model of the series, which it calls Mi MIX Fold 2.
Currently, Mi MIX Fold 2 is still under development, so the prototype device and leaks about it are quite limited. However, there are strong predictions about how it will look and which processor it will use.
A report that emerged today says that the Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 foldable smartphone may launch in the second quarter of this year, namely in April, May and June. In the leaks we encountered in the past, it was said that it was expected to be introduced in the summer. Therefore, it is thought that Xiaomi has thrown the chip crisis into the 2nd plan for this device.
According to past leaks, Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 will have an 8.1-inch screen with 2K resolution. It is also said that both the inner and outer panels on the device will have a high screen refresh rate of at least 120 Hz.
In addition, Xiaomi can surprise us by using LTPO display panels on this folding phone. The main purpose of this step of the company is interpreted as wanting to use the adaptive refresh rate technology that Samsung offers on its flagship phones.
MIX Fold 2 will most likely use Qualcomm’s new favorite Snapdragon 8 Gen1 processor. It will also have a larger-capacity battery, fast charging support and wireless charging support compared to its predecessor.
