Google tested new search filters last November to make it easier to find searched files in Google Drive. According to the new statement, advanced search options similar to those in Gmail will now be available to all users in general.
Drive’s advanced search options
Many users had told the technology giant that the search options in Google Drive were not sufficient and they spent too much time searching for a file. On top of this, Google now offers advanced search options, which it has been testing for a while, for all Drive users.
Previously, users were trying to find the file they were looking for among many irrelevant results in searches performed only on keywords, but new search options include the location of a file in Drive, the type of file, users interacting with the file, It allows filtering searches by last modified date, title only, and to-do.
When users want to use the new search filters of Google Drive, they will be able to access the results from the top of the list after searching by entering a keyword instead of the search. Google has gradually started to offer new search options to all users.
