Former OnePlus CEO and founder of tech brand Nothing, Carl Pei definitely knows how to get people talking about the products he produces… OnePlus’ success can be attributed to a certain extent to Pei, who founded Nothing after parting ways with the company. .

Pei’s latest Twitter post is a preview of Nothing’s upcoming Android phone. The tweet simply says “Back on Android”. However, subsequent responses and hints from Qualcomm point to Nothing having a plan.

Although there are many rumors that Nothing is working on a smartphone, Carl Pei has given a clue about this for the first time case. For now, Nothing’s official portfolio has only one product: Nothing headphones.

The India CEO of the brand, Manu Sharma, also pointed out that the company is working on five new products. The recent appointment of Dyson’s Adam Bates to head the design center could be a possible clue to new products being developed by the company.

It was first rumored in October 2021 that the company will produce an Android phone as well as a spare charging tank. According to these initial reports, the phone was expected to launch in early 2022 and the Android-powered device was expected to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC.

The newly sent tweet also seems to confirm this theory. It is also worth noting that Nothing and Qualcomm announced a strategic partnership in 2021. In other words, there is a very high probability that Snapdragon SoCs will be used for the company’s products.

Nothing acquired the now-discontinued smartphone company Essential in February 2021, and Carl Pei announced that Nothing will continue to focus on audio accessories and smart home products. However, the company may have also acquired patents, trademarks and more related to Essential’s smartphone lineup, and these patents and brands may be used on the phone that is expected to be presented.
