The rivalry between Japanese sports cars has started to heat up in the last few years. The Toyota Supra is back. Mazda MX-5 Miata shows up in the market as usual. In fact, Honda reminds that it is also included in the game with the Civic Type R. But the 2023 Nissan Z is playing for the lead. Here are the details…

2023 Nissan Z will dust the roads in the second quarter

Nissan’s 7th generation Z-series sports car removes the numerical part of its name (370Z). According to the statement made by the company, it was inspired by the Z32 model from the 1990s. At this point, the vehicle’s particularly large square-shaped grille opening stands out.

The vehicle will come with 3 different color options as Black Diamond Metallic, Gun Metallic and Rosewood Metallic. In addition to these options, a black roof and interior flooring options with different colors will also be shaped according to the preferences of the users. Two-tone colors for now include Brilliant Silver, Boulder Grey, Seiran Blue, Ikazuchi Yellow, Passion Red TriCoat and Everest White Pearl TriCoat.

At the performance point, a chassis that promises better stability and a smoother ride thanks to its completely renewed modern powertrain welcomes us. On the face of it, the new Nissan Z seems to share the same basic foundations as its predecessor, but it’s said to be up to 80 percent change.

Some changes have been made to the geometry of the double wishbone front suspension for improved straight-line stability. In addition, larger diameter mono tube shocks aim to help improve ride quality on rough terrain as well.

19-inch forged Rays wheels, Bridgestone Potenza S007 high-performance tires, red calipers and disc brakes for the larger four wheels come with Performance equipment.

2023 The Nissan Z’s more comfortable two-seater interior is actually as new as its bodywork, although it may seem like there are a few parts that stay the same, like the door handles. The company offers three different color options in the form of black, red and bright blue on the interior design side.

In addition, some retro touches are not overlooked inside the vehicle. The instrument cluster has three analog gauges for boost, turbo speed and voltage. Another classic element is the steering wheel, which, like old cars, has a small center section.

The vehicle also brings some innovations in terms of interior technology. An 8-inch touchscreen is included in the standard package. However, if you wish, you can choose the 9-inch version as an option. There is also support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

There are also some innovations in the key and operating part. Starting the vehicle thanks to the Star-Stop button, keyless entry, adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors and an auto-dimming rear view mirror are also included in the standard package.

The list of standard security features is also quite extensive. Many features such as blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert and automatic high beams will be available at no additional cost. Of course, many of these features are already available in today’s cars. But it should not be forgotten that this is a drift-based sports car.

The new Nissan Z offers two 12-volt power outlets and two USB ports, one Type-A and the other Type-C. In the standard package, the seats are not electric. But it is sold with this feature as an option.

Nissan prefers the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that we see in Infiniti’s Q50 and Q60 Red Sport 400 models in this vehicle. The new Z, with its 400 horsepower and 475 nm torque engine, goes one step ahead of its predecessor and shortens the 0-100 acceleration time by 15 percent, completing it in under 4 seconds like the Toyota Supra.

If you want an automatic transmission instead of a carbon fiber driveshaft with a close ratio and six-speed manual Exedy high-performance clutch, a nine-speed automatic with launch control will be available as an option. The selling price of the standard package is said to be $ 40,000 for the USA.
