Dimensity 9000 chip, MediaTek started the year 2022 quite well. Sharing a new financial report for January, the company continues its rise among semiconductor giants.
Competition in the industry is increasing
Announcing its consolidated revenue of approximately 1.55 billion dollars in January, MediaTek recorded an increase of 23.1 percent on an annual basis, while it decreased by 5.8 percent on a monthly basis. Having started 2022 with ups and downs compared to the previous year, the company estimates its first quarter revenue to be between 4.7 billion and 5.1 billion dollars.
We can say that it indicates an increase of 2 to 10 percent compared to the previous year, and an annual increase of 21 to 31 percent. Cai Lixing, the CEO of the company, which broke a new record with an annual growth of 53 percent in 2021, said that the increasing income is related to the 5G demand in the industry and its flagship Dimensity 9000.
