The Algorand Foundation behind the Algorand (ALGO) protocol has appointed former JPMorgan executive Staci Warden as CEO.

The foundation said in a statement today that Warden has been on the foundation’s board of directors since September 2021.

Warden, who was previously an executive director at JPMorgan, also served on the Nasdaq. Here he was responsible for overseeing the development of the trading platform BBX.

“I know we will deliver tremendous value for the Algorand ecosystem, both as we accelerate our global goals and double our commitment to the DeFi ecosystem”

previous CEO of the Algorand Foundation Sean Lee said he left the foundation to pursue new career opportunities.

ALGO is trading at $1.02 at the time of writing, according to CoinMarketCap data.
